Leicester City have been tipped for another title challenge by a popular media outlet after making some top signings ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

Leicester’s astuteness in transfer business has been extensively documented, discussed, evaluated and lauded by, well, everyone. From sports news companies, journalists, pundits to fans, they all know and agree that Foxes recruitment and sales are usually, more often than not, lucrative in all senses of the word.

Now TalkSPORT has gone one step further and put their, errm, great reputation on the line with an outlandish prediction. Their football chat department – sorry for the vague description, but no human writer is given credit for the piece, the author is merely “By TalkSPORT” so we can guess the article is a collective effort – suggests the clever and wise signings made by the King Power club could see them lift the Premier League title again:

"The Leicester line-up for Premier League title push with Patson Daka and Jamie Vardy in lethal partnership, free agent Ryan Bertrand and Boubakary Soumare in midfield(Headline; read more here)"

With Manchester City adding more quality, Man United becoming stronger for each campaign, Chelsea European champions, not to mention Liverpool’s obvious prowess and the Reds also being ahead of Leicester in squad talent and earning capacity, it seems unlikely that the east Midlands team can become triumphant again soon.

Underestimating Leicester City

But is the notion of another EPL triumph so far-fetched? It is possibly not as crazy upon second thought as first impression. What I have just done is write off the most miraculous club in recent times due to doing exactly what I’m saying is essentially unrepeatable.

And the outfit are in a much more strengthened position with a better manager currently now too, to be frank. Who knows – maybe it’ll be LCFC, 2021/22 title-winners like in 2015/16. Acquiring Boubakary Soumare and Patson Daka is certainly a decent place to start.
