How Rodgers can fit them in

Rodgers’ King Power side have shaped up in two main ways over the last year. First was the 4-3-3 with two attacking fullbacks alongside a winger of some form. Second was the 3-4-3 with two attacking wingbacks providing all the width.

In the 4-3-3, I’d like to see Bertrand and Ricky P as our fullbacks. They would provide the defensive solidity and cooperation with the rest of the back four we need, as well as offering the pace of Pereira to help transition the ball.

When Justin returns, he would take Bertrand’s place. Justin is one of our best players, and as a left-back offered so much despite being naturally a right-back. On the defence he will be mature and competent, on the attack he cuts inwards.

In the 3-4-3, Thomas and Castagne should operate the wings. Bombing down the wings to provide all the width as well as knocking in crosses or cutting inwards to join the goal threat in midfield.

Of course, in the back three you could play a Bertrand or a Justin perfectly well, so they could feature should a centre-back need to be rested. Alternately, the Foxes could play Pereira as a winger and Castagne behind him.

Hot. Foxes tipped for another title challenge. light

Whatever Rodgers chooses to do, this is a powerful and well-balanced line-up. Without any additional signings needed.
