An almost forgotten Leicester City player’s father has confirmed that his son is leaving the Foxes this summer – with a transfer imminent.

If you are a regular reader at Foxes of Leicester, you will have probably heard my opinions on Rachid Ghezzal before now: he’s a decent player who couldn’t cut it at Leicester, and he may have even done well at another Premier League side. However, Leicester must sell now just in case his value decreases further. Pretty straight forward, and I am sure most of our readership agree.

Nevertheless, the transfer saga surrounding the Algerian and his proposed departure rumbles on; Besiktas are the team said to fancy taking on Ghezzal, yet negotiations between the English and Turkish clubs have reportedly been drawn out.

An interesting aspect of the story rears its head now following the father of the current Fox, Mohamed Ghezzal, confirming that his son is to depart Filbert Way and sign for the outfit from Turkey:

"“My son is very happy in Besiktas. They will compete in the Champions League this season. Ghezzal will 100% continue his career at Besiktas. We expect the transfer to be completed in a short time.“After my son’s performance this season, Galatasaray also made an offer to us”.Quote via Sport Witness"

Foxes of Leicester would like to take this opportunity to offer you some extra LCFC-related transfer news and wish a new player all the best, as goalkeeping starlet Brad Young joins the Foxes.

Young is age-19 and comes to LCFC via Hartlepool United. Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United were all apparently interested in the Sunderland-born stopper. Therefore big things will be expected of him when he potentially gets his chance in the coming years for League Cup matches and the like. The teenager will likely be a part of the Leicester City Development Squad.
