Foxes of Leicester discusses Leicester City transfer talk now, as we ponder and examine whether Everton are actually interested in Ayoze Perez.

To begin with, and with all due respect to Ayoze Perez, I must outline my personal stance as a Foxes fan and football writer that I believe selling the Spaniard is the best move for him and the club at this point in time.

Perez is not going to be given more minutes on the pitch when a specialist right-winger is prospectively signed. Nor is the ex-Newcastle United man going to force his way ahead of James Maddison at No.10; neither will the former be able to dislodge, support or partner one of the King Power side’s exciting trio of strikers in Jamie Vardy, Kelechi Iheanacho and Patson Daka.

Therefore media speculation surrounding new Everton boss Rafa Benitez fancying a reunion with Perez – they were together with the Magpies – at Goodison Park took our attention.

According to former Toffee Marcus Bent, Perez is ‘probably on Benetiz’s’ radar’, which is complete unsubstantiated at this stage. Although, Bent is likely plugged in to goings on at Everton; certainly a loan or permanent transfer is definitely a possibility, as FoL see it.
