Damon Carter concludes his review of the Leicester City players seasons in 2020/2021 with some faces you may have forgotten about.

As Foxes of Leicester brings its player reviews to a close, we focus on the ones that had quiet seasons, but in the absence of crippling injuries some of these players will probably be grateful for that.

Ricardo Pereira – Leicester City Statistics

Appearances total: – 20/ Premier League –15  / FA Cup – 2 / Europa League – 2 / EFL Cup – 1

Goals total: – 0

Moment to savour: – Returning from a horrible injury

Moment to forget: – The immediate injury on his return in Ukraine

Normally one of my favourite players would be afforded his own article after another rip-roaring season as a Leicester player. But in truth, Ricardo was just a bit average last season and that should come as no surprise after a return from a ruptured cruciate ligament injury.

The Portuguese returned too quickly when being given 45 minutes in a freezing cold Ukraine which put him back a month. He was then moved around various positions at left-back, right-back and right-midfield with uninspiring results. Ultimately this was a bit of a recovery campaign for the Portugal international (take note for James Justin and Wesley Fofana). A slow recovery will hopefully reap more rewards in 21/22 and Ricardo can get back to being considered one of the best fullbacks in the Premier League.
