Leicester player reviews – Get Carter’s 20/21: the rest – quick fire round-up
By Damon Carter
Cengiz Under came with much promise but ultimately wasn’t quite the exciting winger we all saw after an exciting YouTube showreel. After a couple of neat assists in back to back substitute appearances, many Leicester fans assumed he would kick on, but it was not to be.
Brendan Rodgers trusted him to start in the Europa League but didn’t afford him the same trust in the Premier League. After an appearance in the forgettable 3-1 defeat to Arsenal, Under didn’t play for Leicester again. He’s now looking forward to a campaign in Ligue 1 with Marseille.
Christian Fuchs – Leicester City Statistics
Appearances total: – 16/ Premier League –9 / FA Cup – 1 / Europa League – 5 / EFL Cup – 1
Goals total: – 0
Moment to savour: – Every victory he played a part in
Moment to forget: – Not making the FA Cup Final squad
After six years of service Christian Fuchs has finally departed the club. At the start of the season, with an injury-ravaged squad, Fuchs was much-needed centre back experience. Overall he played a part in ten victories in Leicester’s season and will leave very much as a legend. Farewell Christian, many Fuchs were given.
Short ones:
Sidnei Tavares: Appearances-3/Premier League-2/Europa League-1/Goals-0
A few cameo appearances as Leicester tried to find attacking options in their youth ranks and they turned to a promising young Portugese man who you would imagine will be making inroads in the loan market in 2021/2022.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: Appearances-1 (EFL Cup)
In 2020/2021, Dewsbury-Hall finally broke his professional career not with his 76 minutes in the EFL cup for the foxes, but in the 40 games he played for Luton Town. He will be aiming to be making his first Premier League minutes in 2021/2022.
