Leicester want Domenico Berardi and he’s asked to leave Sassuolo
Many reports and articles claim that Leicester City want Italian winger Domenico Berardi – and now he’s requested a transfer away from Sassuolo.
Leicester’s need for a new left-footed right-winger has been well publicised by local and even national media, whilst also being thoroughly discussed by Foxes supporters aka the Blue Army.
Essentially Marc Albrighton is a back-up utility player at his age in the Premier League; and that’s not to do the LCFC legend a disservice, he’s one of the best understudies around. Though Albrighton would possibly have to move to a club like Burnley – Sean Dyche’s team actually attempted to sign the Birmingham-born man this summer – in order to start weekly in the English top-flight.
Ayoze Perez just isn’t efficient, determined or quick enough to make the right-side his own; the Spaniard is technically playing out-of-position, which is a Brendan Rodgers mistake akin to zonal marking. Therefore, there are now only two glaring errors by the boss, which is a great percentage overall.
Italy star on Leicester City radar wants a transfer
Domenico Berardi would truly be an ideal signing for the east Midlands outfit: the Euro2020 standout embodies all the aspects of effervescence missing on one wing at King Power Stadium. LCFC must match the soon-to-be illustrious Harvey Barnes.
In a major bombshell this week, Berardi apparently asked for a move away from current side Sassuolo, as per TuttoMercatoWeb. And talk that Leicester are one of the teams chasing the €40million man emanating from Italy further solidifies their chances of sealing a deal. I would describe the valuation as doable for LCFC – if Sassuolo are willing to play ball.
However, chief executive of the Black and Greens Giovanni Carnevali is aggressively adamant that his star asset will remain at the club for 2021/22. According to Carnevali, there is not enough time to negotiate for Berardi’s proposed exit; additionally, the Italian confirmed no offers have transpired anyway.
