Thankfully for Leicester City supporters, the Foxes have been given a possible defensive injury boost before the Norwich City game.

The less said about the dire loss away to West Ham United, the better. Though, if you didn’t see it, let me tell you that it was a difficult watch for most of the match. And some of your favourite players – and your least liked – let the side down tremendously.

Before the East London contest began, Leicester were already in trouble and faced a mammoth task against one of the more underappreciated Premier League teams in the Hammers due to injuries.

Obviously everyone late has now caught up to speed on the special qualities of Michail Antonio; the soon-to-be Jamaica striker gave Caglar Soyuncu such a tough time it made Daniel Amartey look the better, more assured of the pair.

Defensive boost for Leicester City?

Prior to meeting Norwich City in the English top-flight, the international break and before fixture congestion with the introduction of Europa League matches for the Foxes, Brendan Rodgers has a real team dilemma or two on his hands.

The transfer market is still open so the east Midlands outfit can purchase a right-winger to resolve that issue. I know I make it sound such an easy process, but if we’re critiquing the overall excellent business conducted by the King Power side this off-season, signing a wingman was a necessity.

Luckily something to ease the lack of central defenders may occur, as injured new signing Jannik Vestergaard may be available to face the Canaries. Vestergaard hurt his knee in an innocuous training ground overstretch; however, according to LCFC Live he may be back for the Norwich clash on Saturday, August 28.
