Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed the Foxes are attempting to sign one more attacking player in the next couple of days. Which target is it?

We hate to contradict ourselves at Foxes of Leicester: we published a piece suggesting Rodgers has indicated no more additions are likely, following this the gaffer said they are searching for an attacker.

Though I suppose Rodgers is just covering his own back – particularly after now Chelsea man Ben Chilwell was “not for sale”. But, at least the correct outcome should transpire here – signing a winger – or a final piece of baseless hope has been offered to the fan base. That latter, potential outcome will hopefully not come to fruition as morale amongst the Blue Army would severely decrease if no wingman is signed.

Now the entire British sports press have linked the Foxes to, or gotten on the back of the bandwagon of, a story concerning Leicester’s pursuit of Ademola Lookman of Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. In fact, so many reporters are covering it that there is almost certainly truth to it.

However, in the meantime David Neres of Ajax has been ruled out as a target of the King Power club. Above is a tweet from LCFC Live journalist Jordan Blackwell claiming Neres is not on the wishlist.

Will Ademola Lookman sign for Leicester City?

Ademola Olajade Alade Aylola Lookman – yeah, that’s his full name – is a possible ’11th hour’ signing for Leicester – but so what?! He’s still a potentially impactful one too, and would you rather not signing any wingers – even on loan? That gives LCFC the opportunity to keep or reject him at the end of the season, too.

Much of the vocal minority of the faithful on social media, namely Twitter, appear less than pleased with the Englishman’s arrival on Filbert Way. At least give the prospectively new man a chance!
