Leicester supporters will love these quotes from Lookman
Leicester City supporters are sure to love this quote from new wing signing Ademola Lookman, whose intentions are exactly what’s needed in the team.
Lookman was not all Foxes supporters’ first-choice of incoming winger; those discontented Blue Army members made their thoughts clear on Twitter, as usual. While it is perfectly fine to be unhappy that your No.1 selection for Leicester to sign was not acquired – I have never, and will never, understand how an athlete of the blatant quality of the new Fox can be judged before he has even kicked a ball for his current outfit.
Hopefully that minority in the fan base at least give Lookman a chance for a few games before condemning him again. Unless he gets off to a flyer – then the same folks will worship him. Irrespective of initial impressions, the man himself certainly wants to impress:
"“…I’m delighted to be here.“It’s a great honour to be at such a big and amazing club with such a huge history and a quality group of players…“I think this is the right environment for me to improve and grow as a player and as a person…“…he’s a coach [Brendan Rodgers] who develops a lot of players into even better and great players.“…I want to be exciting and I want to be a player that gets fans off their seats.”Select quotes from Ademola Lookman, via lcfc.com"
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s Leicester City role
If what Brendan Rodgers previously divulged to media is to be believed, then Leicester’s young midfield talent Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will be seeing some match action this season. And the former Luton Town loanee’s minutes won’t just come in the League Cup as well as most likely FA Cup appearances, but in the Premier League, too.
Dewsbury-Hall is one of the most promising Leicester academy graduates to currently be in and around the senior Foxes squad. The highly-rated, creative man in the middle has a tall order in displacing or even understudying for James Maddison and Youri Tielemans. Yet that is something players like the 22-year-old must overcome to succeed at English top-flight level.
In addition, Rodgers is said to have “categorically” denied the Hatters the opportunity to buy or temporarily have the Fox in their ranks again. This is obviously due to the Northern Irishman knowing Dewsbury-Hall may offer a special element to the Leicester side.
