Leicester City take on giants Napoli in what will be a tough fixture to open their Europa League campaign. Here is all you need to know and how to watch.

Brendan Rodgers will look to start the King Power side off well in their second Europa League campaign as the Foxes face off with Italian giants Napoli. We could have hoped for a easier group, but at least it should be entertaining.

This match will be the highlight of our group, potentially deciding whether we shall get an easier knockout stage, a tougher knockout stage, or perhaps even fail to progress any further.

So, here is a preview of what to look out for and how you can watch the match live on TV.

Leicester City need changes

I want to start the preview with what I have said plenty of times. Rodgers’ Foxes are not currently creative enough.

In terms of expected goals (xG), Leicester have constructed enough chances to score 3.37 goals. We have actually scored four, but these numbers only make us 19th on xG.

Napoli are a stark contrast. Their team is performing very well Serie A, creating plenty of chances and winning all of their matches.

According to Understat, they have constructed enough chances to potentially score 5.73 goals across three matches. These numbers are excellent.

Their defenders get involved in transitional and build-up play, their midfielders progress the ball well and work well together, and their attackers are lively enough to split defences and create opportunities on goal.

Defensively too, Napoli have the better of the King Power side. The Italian side have only conceded enough chances to concede 2.51 goals, where the English representatives stand at a whopping 7.81.

It is clear for all to see that we are the underdogs in this match. To have any chance at defeating Napoli, Leicester City will need to make changes to unlock their creative talent and become more defensively sound.

I have suggested some changes in this article, feel free to let us know on social media what the line-up and formation should look like.

The only think I will say is that we have to play Kelechi Iheanacho.

How to watch live

For those of us who have either not got tickets or cannot travel to the King Power Stadium for the fixture, the match will be streamed live for viewing on Tv.

As with many matches, it shall be on BT Sport. You will also be able to keep up with coverage via the LCFC social media channels, and no doubt BBC Sport Leicester will also provide live updates on social media.
