Millwall were beaten 2-0 by Leicester City in the Carabao Cup Third Round. Here you can observe Ademola Lookman’s and Kelechi Iheanacho’s goals.

Traveling to the Den is never easy – if you don’t believe me then watch a Millwall or away fan documentary, mate – inside or out of the stadium. Nevertheless, Leicester had a job to do and completed it with a ‘weaker’ starting eleven than usual. A perfect early round cup night.

Ademola Lookman then Kelechi Iheanacho secured progress for the Foxes, as you’re about to see.

As you can view for yourself above, Iheanacho was involved with both goals. Millwall’s slightly awkward defence made a major error in the lead up to the east Midlands team initially taking the lead. The Nigeria international was able to capitalise on the mishap, but his shot was saved. Bouncing onto the rebound was Lookman, who slotted home comfortably whilst under no pressure.

Leicester’s second was quite special: Wilfred Ndidi – who doesn’t showcase his clearly better passing than perceived often enough, and is rightly criticised for losing the ball while short passing occasionally – provided a wonderful assist for his compatriot. And the Nigerian hitman’s powerfully accurate finish really tested that South London net.

Following LCFC’s victory, Iheanacho spoke to reporters; the Nigerian made a joke about ignoring the great run of Patson Daka and subsequently shooting and scoring:

"“I didn’t see him [Daka] really; if I saw him I would have passed it to him. If I missed that one, I think he would be fuming! Anyway, next time I will pass to Patson.”Via LCFC TV"
