The Leicester Mercury have reported on the deal, as they do with every LCFC-linked man, stating that whilst Leicester are interested in him, they face competition from Brentford and Southampton. If Lewis-Porter carries on his form, the number of suitors for him may well just double.

According to HullLive, the Tigers received a £8million bid from a club for an unnamed player recently and, whilst the player was unnamed, it is widely believed to be Lewis-Porter. £8m is a lot of money for this youngster, though it still falls short of Hull’s £12m valuations of their in-form property.

Is it a good move for Leicester City?

Signing from the Championship is always a gamble. For every James Maddison, there is a Jordan Hugill. Signing youth from the Championship is also a risk, especially for over £10m, but Leicester have a good record with scouting youth.

I’m wary of this move, and I somewhat think that too far of a jump up would be a major detriment to Lewis-Porter’s career: if it didn’t go well immediately then some fans may be eager to write him off as a flop. Please click directly below for the final page of our view on Lewis-Porter.
