If the move did happen, I would anticipate that Lewis-Porter would be sent back out on loan to the Championship for at least the rest of the season to help steady his development and not overwhelm him.

The big question is if Leicester City actually need him. In short, the answer is no. Leicester have already signed a winger this season in Ademola Lookman and, unless there is another injury crisis up front, Leicester don’t need another winger. Instead, the Foxes have to sign someone to bolster their defence. I’ve seen people talking about another potential move for Burnley’s England international James Tarkowski in January, it would make a lot of sense to invest the quoted price into that move rather than Lewis-Porter.

I’m not trying to come across as overly negative, after all if Lewis-Porter is the real deal, then £12m may look to be a bargain in the future, but he just isn’t a player than Leicester need right now.

If the move did go through, I wouldn’t be too negative about it; especially since that the last highly rated English winger to come through Hull was a certain Jarrod Bowen who has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water. Lewis-Porter is one to certainly keep your eyes on.
