Before Leicester City play Arsenal, they meet Brighton & Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup. Meanwhile, a claim’s been made about Jamie Vardy’s fitness ahead of the Gunners clash.

Once upon a time, famous former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger unsuccessfully courted the services of Jamie Vardy. And who could blame him?! Rumour has it there was even a meeting between the two on the matter. Then Leicester apparently matched the wages offered, Vardy stayed a Fox and the rest is history.

Even though Patson Daka is in fine form, as is Kelechi Iheanacho, Vardy’s presence is welcome on any football pitch. The latter was not in the matchday squad for the Brighton match.

Therefore there was uproar when the winger was on the receiving end of a terrible tackle whilst featuring for the Foxes in the Europa League against Spartak Moscow in Russia. LCFC boss Brendan Rodgers suggested that the incident was “a horrendous challenge”; additionally stating that his player might be unavailable for two-to-three weeks. Read more here.
