Rising Leicester star would’ve made Euro2020 squad confirmed
Former Leicester City striker Gary Lineker has revealed that England manager Gareth Southgate would have included Fox James Justin in the Euro2020 squad, if the versatile defender was not injured.
There is a very palpable excitement from within the Blue Army about the imminent return of Justin to the Leicester first team. That scenario should be this month, November. Exactly when that date will be is unknown at present, as the ex-Luton Town starlet is being prepared for an Under-23 match with the Foxes after stepping up to full contact training.
During the 2020/21 campaign, Justin was excellent for the east Midlanders in a number of positions across the pitch. Then disaster struck as the Englishman sustained a nasty anterior cruciate ligament injury which derailed his season entirely.
In light of the 22-year-old’s stunning form at the time, former LCFC goalscorer Lineker revealed that Southgate informed him that Justin would have been included on his Euro2020 England roster.
"“I think he’d [Justin] have been in England’s team, he’d certainly have been in England’s squad, Gareth [Southgate] told me that, for the Euros.”Gary Lineker, via talkSPORT"
Youri Tielemans one of best Leicester City manager ever worked with
Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has labeled his midfield star Youri Tielemans as one of the best professionals he’s ever been involved with in football. Every LCFC fan admires, respects and appreciates the Belgium player; one element of the admiration of course derives from Tielemans’ FA Cup-winning goal last season.
Rodgers suggests the 24-year-old will get even better with more games and experience, adding that the ex-Monaco man has hit the gym or made extra efforts to improve the physical part of his game. Furthermore, the gaffer asserts that the midfielder is an intelligent, brave and brilliant footballer. You can read more on that subject here.
