Meanwhile, journalists have taken this a step farther. Not just is the King Power’s head coach interested in a switch, he is also house hunting in the Cheshire region ahead of the move. That being said, Rodgers does apparently own rental property in the area.

Were this in anyway reliable information, Leicester City supporters could hardly begrudge their coach looking for property before being involved in a mid-season switch. However, it is hard to believe anything when one minute you are told ‘OGS’ is to be given more time, and the next Rodgers is already being given a budget.

On that last note, according to more suspect reports, the gaffer will be given no money to spend in the January transfer window – when he is supposedly making the move – though several players will be allowed to leave. Foxes’ target Jesse Lingard is included on that list of players, where Dean Henderson may also be looking to make a move in January to get more game time. This much is believable.

How realistic a the move?

The East Midland outfit are not necessarily in the best position at the moment. Despite a good transfer window, Leicester City are languishing in mid-table and struggling without wonderkid Wesley Fofana and fan-favourite James Justin in defence.
