We asked Leicester fans if they want Rodgers to stay – here’s the result

Foxes of Leicester asked Leicester City supporters if they are still content with Brendan Rodgers as manager – here’s the consensus.

Maybe FoL were a bit premature in querying the Foxes faithful about a possible change, but we did it nonetheless. Basically I have seen many so-called FT fans – you know, the young ones on social media with no image of themselves but rather a footballer – calling for Rodgers to be relieved of duty for some time now.

There are also older members of the Blue Army, such as myself, who are growing very tired of the Northern Irishman’s seemingly poor and sometimes inept tactics this season. His unwillingness to alter inefficient strategy, especially the set-piece zone, is causing mayhem on the pitch and disgust off it.

Therefore we thought it only right to pose the question to our followers on Twitter:

As you can see, the former Liverpool gaffer got almost a 50 per cent approval rate from the LCFC support we surveyed. I’ll admit I selected the ‘give it a few more games’ option as Rodgers has good in the bank with an FA Cup trophy, Community Shield triumph and consecutive terms in Europe.

Though, as you can see, many fans are becoming disillusioned with the state of this campaign.

Awkward game versus Legia Warsaw for Leicester City

While leicester’s next, vital Europa League match versus Legia is more than winnable, being expected to win is always a difficult proposition. That is except if you happen to be Manchester City or a similar team.

Why this encounter is a daunting one for the squad and boss Rodgers, is partly because the Poles miraculously defeated the east Midlands England side in Poland, even though they are a considerably lesser outfit.

Yet the main reason why Thursday night’s UEL clash is such an important one, is due to the fact that LCFC desperately need a victory if they have any realistic desire to continue in the European competition. Coupling that with the awful run the Foxes are on makes for an enjoyable evening if you are a neutral – or possibly from Warsaw. Forgive the pessimism.
