Riyad Mahrez – There will be very few limited superstars to grace the pitch at the King Power stadium like the one and only Riyad Mahrez. The France-born Algerian winger was probably one of the all-time greats to represent the Foxes. What Mahrez achieved at this club earned him global praise and recognition as one of the best. It’s no wonder why his skills still remain unmatched at the right-wing.

Mahrez was brought in at the club by its brilliant scouting network from Le Havre. The winger improved each season by several notches and had the fans raise their expectations from his blistering tenacity. Soon at the top of his game, he worked as one of the critical factors behind Leicester’s title story. City has struggled since his departure to find a player that can fill up the void left behind since he went to Manchester City.

We might sound biased, but since his move to Manchester, we have seen the Mahrez we knew get lost amidst the constant tinkering of Pep Guardiola. Whilst still a Fox, the Algerian international had won CAF African Footballer of the Year(2016), BBC African Footballer of the Year(2016), Algerian Footballer of the Year(2015, 2016), PFA Team of the Year(2015-16), PFA Players’ Player of the Year(2015-16), PFA Fans’ Player of the Year(2015-16), Leicester City Player of the Year(2015-16), El Heddaf Arab Footballer of the Year(2016), Lion d’Or African Footballer of the Year(2016), CAF Team of the Year(2016), CAF Africa Cup of Nations Team of the Tournament(2016), and IFFHS CAF Men’s Team of the Decade(2011–2020).
