Jamie Vardy – Not everyone is talented like Messi and Maradona, most of us do not have the genetically gifted strides of Christiano Ronaldo. Some are mediocre, and it is okay to be mediocre. Such is the story of one Jamie Richard Vardy, who was born in Sheffield, England. Sheffield Wednesday did not see him as a promising lad, and he got released at the age of 16.
With his incredible rise from Non-League teams like Stocksbridge Park Steels, FC Halifax Town, and Fleetwood Town, the struggling factory worker blossomed into an eye-catching sparkle of a striker. The King Power club signed him in 2012, and nine years later, he is a Football League Championship, Premier League, and FA Cup champion.
Individually he has won the Premier League Player of the Season, FWA Footballer of the Year, Premier League Golden Boot, Premier League Player of the Month, Premier League Goal of the Month, BBC Goal of the Season, PFA Team of the Year, FIFA FIFPro World11 and 8th place in the Ballon d’Or.
