Leicester City have an unprecedented amount of mounting injuries. But when will Jonny Evans, Patson Daka, Harvey Barnes and Caglar Soyuncu be available again?

Leicester meet Liverpool on Tuesday evening in a Premier League clash. Ordinarily the prospect of facing the Reds is daunting as they are one of the best teams around – right now it is petrifying for the Foxes. In fact, the five first choice and prominent defenders are unavailable through pandemic and typical fitness problems. They are: Jonny Evans, Wesley Fofana, James Justin, Ricardo Pereira and Caglar Soyuncu.

Unfortunately there are other concerns for the east Midlands outfit, with none of the personnel in question being ready for the upcoming fixture. Direct winger Barnes is due to come back into training later in the week, though.

"“Jonny will still be another three weeks, so he’s still out for a period of time. And Harvey, he’s not due back in until about the 29th (of December).”‘Daka was another to strain his hamstring against Liverpool and he faces three weeks out… Caglar Soyuncu faces three weeks out with a hamstring issue (Leicester Mercury)’.“It looks highly unlikely (that Bertrand will be able to play against Liverpool).”"

News suggests that Liverpool may be without up to nine senior squad members when they take on the Foxes at King Power Stadium. Thiago Alcantara, Fabinho, Curtis Jones and Virgil van Dijk are possible returns for the Reds when they arrive in Leicestershire; manager of the 2019/21 English top-flight champions, Jurgen Klopp, revealed that the absent quartet are now back in training.

However it is unclear at present if the aforementioned four players will be ready for selection. Five other Liverpool stars are unavailable for Klopp: Divock Origi, Nathaniel Phillips, Harvey Elliott, Adrian and Andy Robertson – who is the only one out due to suspension.
