Foxes of Leicester explain when Jamie Vardy could possibly return to action amid a worsening Leicester City injury crisis.

The Foxes now have further personnel issues to overcome, as talisman Vardy is added to the unavailable list. England’s former striker had been nursing a hamstring injury – the reason he declined to take a crucial penalty versus Liverpool in the Carabao Cup loss recently – but had still been featuring for Leicester.

However, LCFC boss Brendan Rodgers confirmed on Thursday afternoon that the 34-year-old is now sidelined. Luckily for the Foxes, Kelechi Iheanacho is in fine form in contemporary times – when Rodgers trusts him, that is.

Other players are currently on the treatment table, affected by the coronavirus pandemic, or suffering from unnamed illnesses include: Caglar Soyuncu, Jonny Evans and Patson Daka.

"“Jamie will be out for the weekend and James Maddison should be fine. It depends, it could be the next three to four weeks (for Jamie Vardy to return).“He wasn’t sure whether it was that (in a challenge with Joël Matip) or he felt the pain then. He ran on and soldiered on which he wanted to do, but the scan has shown up as that (a hamstring injury) so it could be three to four weeks.”Brendan Rodgers, lcfc.com"

Jurgen Klopp praises Leicester City players

Lauded Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has lavished praise on the east Midlands team in what some would suggest was the most unlikely of moments. You see, Klopp’s men had just literally been defeated by Rodgers’ side at King Power Stadium. And surely the title-chasing boss was upset with his outfit’s finishing ability on the night?!

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was photographed with the German post-final whistle sharing a laugh as well as a brief embrace. After the game, during his usual press conference, the Reds gaffer said Leicester were good for the victory, which was “extra nice”. Additionally, he claimed that something “didn’t click” for the Merseysiders on the night; the amount of chances they created confirmed this point.
