Leicester City have had one of the worst runs with injuries since the beginning of 2020 with the Foxes being forced to postpone their latest Premier League game for that reason.

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has tried to pinpoint a reason for the perennial injury struggles which have hampered the east Midlands side this season. The Foxes haven’t been at full-strength since before the pandemic and fans have been questioning the reason behind it.

The Northern Irishman has admitted that it is an issue being looked into, with meetings taking place to find a cause for the constant injuries occurring at LCFC.

"“A lot of injuries have been the fatigue. You’re going to get five or six hamstrings a season, that’s normal. With the situations now, the players playing have been overtaxed. We have a big review of that in terms of looking at training. A lot of these have been unfortunate.”Brendan Rodgers"

Whether this meeting and potential change in training programme results in less injuries occurring on and off the pitch remains to be seen, but it is an issue that must be thwarted if the east Midlands side want any chance of success this season.

Meanwhile, the Blue Army will be eagerly awaiting the return of defensive duo Wesley Fofana and James Justin who have yet to make an appearance for Leicester this season with the pair still recovering from lengthy injuries.  The Foxes were forced to play a number of youth players in their game against Watford in the FA Cup with the injury crisis leaving Leicester with only eight fit outfield players from the senior squad.
