Brendan Rodgers looking forward to Leicester FA Cup derby match
Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers has expressed his excitement for what will be his first east Midlands derby since joining the Foxes in 2019.
Leicester will face off against east Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest in the next round of the FA Cup. This will be the first time the Foxes have played in an east Midlands derby since February 2017, when they defeated Derby County in the FA Cup.
This will be the first trip to the City Ground for the Blue Army since 2014 when the game ended in a 2-2 draw with Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez finding the back of the net for the Foxes.
When Leicester City take on Forest next month it will be the first time Rodgers has taken charge of a derby with LCFC.

In the meantime, the Northern Irishman is faced with the task of keeping players match-fit after yet another postponed game in the Premier League.
Leicester City were meant to face Burnley on Saturday, however, due to a player shortage from the Turf Moor side, they were forced to postpone the fixture. However, the Foxes will be boosted by the fact that four of their key players are making their returns from injury.
Patson Daka, Caglar Soyuncu, Luke Thomas and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are all set to return to the team when the next game takes place, which is currently scheduled for Wednesday night against Tottenham Hotspur. However, with the current COVID situation across Premier League clubs, there will still be some doubt in the minds of Foxes supporters as to whether the game will go ahead.
