Meanwhile, Braybrooke and McAteer should both be sent out at either League One or Championship level to provide them with senior team football. Preferably they could be at two types of clubs: either a relegation threatened team so they can up their resilience, or a positive and dominant side to develop a better tactical sense.

Nelson is a more interesting case. The defender is already well regarded by supporters and his teammates. Though he lacks any flashy skills or that utter dominance portrayed by Wesley Fofana, the English centre-back is ready-made to provide a mixture of composure similar to that of Jonny Evans, and defensive awareness similar to Caglar Soyuncu.

The player merely needs two seasons on loan to garner experience and more strength. My recommendation would be the Championship in England or a loan abroad to Italy where the intense level of defending can forge some of the best defenders in football.

We need not have any direct comments from Rodgers on the progress of Leicester City’s Daley-Campbell. The English right-back is ready for prime time when Ricardo Pereira does eventually become less prevalent in the team or unfortunately cannot play as often due to the incessant injuries which have plagued his recent career.

Trending. Rodgers practically confirms Tielemans won’t sign new contract. light
