Barring a major COVID outbreak, or a freak training ground injury problem for either club, Leicester City’s match with Tottenham Hotspur should go ahead this upcoming Wednesday evening.

The Foxes’ last game in the Premier League was three weeks ago, the impressive 1-0 victory versus current champions, Liverpool. But, with the ongoing frailties in the squad, how will Brendan Rodgers set up his Leicester team to face Antonio Conte’s Spurs?

Firstly, I think having consistency in the XI is important, with a lot of the implementations from the third-round FA Cup tie against Watford being prevalent in my suggestions — replacements with senior members being the major overhaul to the side.

Unsurprisingly, Kasper Schmeichel gets the nod in goal; with a few changes to the back-four that played the aforementioned game against the Hornets. Marc Albrighton retains his spot as the right-back (as Timothy Castagne’s availability hasn’t been rumoured), Caglar Söyüncü’s will return centrally alongside Hamza Choudhury — whose outstanding performance deserves another start in my opinion.

This is quite a brave suggestion, with Jannik Vestergaard available as a centre-back, but Rodgers has opted for defensive-midfielders ahead of the Dane previously. Lastly, Luke Thomas’ hopeful return displaces Vontae Daley-Campbell on the left-side of the Foxes back-four.
