More Leicester stars linked with transfers away from club
Now, I am never one to begrudge a story being written, but the idea of the Belgian defender switching mid-season – even in summer – from Leicester City where he is lauded as a brilliant addition to the cast, to another super club in Inter Milan is quite preposterous.
At the King Power, the right-back will continue to eventually become the sole first team choice on our right, providing critical depth in all areas of defence, and initiating plenty of attacks with his characteristic link-up play with others – especially the Belgian starman Tielemans.
As with the Fofana story, I find it hard to believe a move would materialise soon for the player. The defender is popular with supporters and with the gaffer, so the likelihood of any breakdown in relations is unlikely, he is also paid well, and has plenty of time left on his current contract.
Once more, in a couple of seasons – with less time on his contract – I could entirely foresee a big money move coming in for the Belgian international. This being said, a move back to Serie A with one of their best clubs does guarantee Champions League football, something the Foxes can hardly offer even with a good season.
