With Leicester City’s star players being linked with transfers to bigger clubs, club legend Christian Fuchs has had his say on the state of the club.

Youri Tielemans has continued to be linked with a move away from the east Midlands side with contract negotiations reaching a stalling point. Meanwhile, Wesley Fofana has been linked with a potential move to a bigger club after a sublime first season in the Premier League.

With the Foxes regularly being forced to sell star players to bigger clubs over the last five years, the Blue army would be dreading either player leaving the King Power Stadium. However, Fuchs believes that those days are in the past for Leicester.

"“I think they can continue to hold onto their big name players.Leicester is a place where you can express yourself and they make you feel really appreciated and valued as a player. You have to realise that if a big club comes in then it may be enticing for some players, but Leicester has grown in stature to a point where it’s no longer seen as a small club. Despite some bad results this season they continue to be competitive with everyone.”Christian Fuchs, football.london"

This news will be music to the ears of many Foxes fans from a player who knows what it’s like to be a part of the club. The Austrian defender has earned himself legend status at Leicester City, winning both the Premier League and FA Cup during his six years at the King Power Stadium.

Meanwhile Leicester will be looking to make some transfers of their own, with their perennial centre-back issue still yet to be resolved and the transfer deadline fast approaching. As it stands, Daniel Amartey and Hamza Choudhury are the first choice centre-backs for LCFC. A position that neither player has vast experience playing in.
