Leicester City have perhaps received a significant injury uplift in defence prior to their FA Cup encounter with Nottingham Forest Ricardo Pereira appears to be training again.

Following a fibula fracture, in a miraculous type of way Ricardo seems to be returning to fitness. Whether or not the Portuguese will now be ready for selection by Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers versus Forest, remains to be seen.

Yet even if the fullback is unavailable for the cup clash, having him near to first team proceedings is certainly a boost for teammates and fans alike.

One of Leicester’s star defenders, James Justin, also made a long-awaited comeback recently. Justin would likely have made Gareth Southgate’s England Euro2020 squad, and will be on the Three Lions’ radar once more.

Sadly Ricardo has not produced his incredible early career form with LCFC, though every Blue Army member wishes for him to do so. A Midlands derby with a rival is the perfect match to showcase your skills, even as a substitute.

However, Ricardo’s appearance in the above tweet from the official Leicester City Football Club account doesn’t necessarily mean that he is available to be selected again. There is a chance the Portugal international is only lightly practicing at the moment.
