It was groundhog day for Leicester City as their miserable record at Anfield continued with a 2-0 loss to high-flying Liverpool.

Just over two years ago, the Foxes were chasing Liverpool down as the nearest title contenders, a far cry from the current Premier League standings. Whilst it was an improvement from the Nottingham Forest debacle, Leicester City offered little in the way of attacking impetus. Here is how the players rated:

Goalkeepers and Defenders:

Kasper Schmeichel (MOTM): 8/10

Kasper has come in for rightful criticism this season but he was the shining light in Leicester’s performance. Without his 9 saves, the scoreline could have been much less flattering. His only slight mistake was parrying the ball into the danger area for the first Liverpool goal.

James Justin: 6/10

James Justin had the tricky job of dealing with live wire Luis Diaz. In this respect, he dealt with the Colombian admirably but offered precious little going forward. At times was overloaded by the combination of Andy Robertson and Diaz.

Daniel Amartey: 7/10

Amartey put behind an abject display against Forest and displayed cool defensive nous against a fearsome Liverpool attack. He generally dealt with most things coming his way.
