Caglar Soyuncu – 6

Wasn’t one of his best games, but not his worst either. He did show some positive signs on the ball at least, played a few decent passes in behind the West Ham defence to launch some positive counter-attacks.

However, defensively it was much of the same, LCFC still don’t look strong when defending long balls and set-pieces. Soyuncu was one of the three players who failed to deal with the first WHU goal.

He was left in no-mans-land as the long ball went well over the top of him and Jarrod Bowen was comfortably ahead of the Turkish defender by the time he turned around.

Daniel Amartey – 5

A rare occurrence this season where Soyuncu has performed better at the back than Amartey. The pair of them were poor in defence when it came to the first goal. As for the second goal, the Ghanaian was out-leapt to the ball and can hold at least some of the blame for the late equaliser.

Ultimately, it seems to be an entire defensive issue rather than just one or two players to blame when it comes to set-pieces, it just happened to be Amartey and Jannik Vestergaard that missed the ball on this occasion.
