Leicester release images of how Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha statue will look

Leicester City Football Club have released images of how the statue for late chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha will look when unveiled. The former Foxes chairman tragically died in a helicopter crash in 2018 with four others.

The great Khun Vichai is most deserving of a statue outside of a ground. His effort, time and investment fully enabled the Foxes to elevate beyond the Blue Army’s wildest dreams. An ascendancy from lower leagues to lifting the Premier League trophy.

Essentially, Srivaddhanaprabha is the most significant person in the history of Leicester City Football Club, as Foxes of Leicester view the situation. I can’t think of ownership which has affected a team more positively; even the local area and charities benefitted from the Thai’s generosity. Philanthropy which aided hospitals as well as even the King Power side’s fans, thanks to bonus gifts and treats at matches.

Fittingly, the east Midlands outfit have chosen to build a statue in tribute to the ex-owner outside Leicester’s stadium. Khun Vichai’s son and his successor at LCFC, Top Srivaddhanaprabha, made the pledge to honour his father’s vision and legacy with the commission.

Work is imminent, with the sculpture set to be unveiled in April. It shall be situated on Raw Dykes Road to welcome the prime pedestrian stream.
