What it’s really like in the Leicester away end at a Midlands derby

Unusually, the away end stretched across the length of the pitch giving supporters much better views than normal. One downside is that the fans are quite far back from the pitch, although this didn’t deter a young fan from getting Marc Albrighton’s shirt at the end of the game!

The concourses were on the smaller side especially compared to some of the more modern stands, with it being rather long and narrow which led to gridlock at half-time. Having been late, there was no sampling of any of the food and drink the Wolves had to offer.

The atmosphere in the Leicester City end

Unfortunately, Leicester City’s away support once again disappointed in noise despite the impressive numbers. In fairness, the poor results and lack of positive learning have severely tested the patience of fans, yet there were spells of the game where the fans made little noise. As ever, the standard chants were rolled out although you could sense the resignation when Leicester conceded their obligatory early goal. Spirits did pick up after Lookman’s goal and until Leicester conceded against the run of play there was growing noise from the 3,000 Foxes fans. Click below for the final page of the article.
