Leicester City’s form has significantly improved with three clean sheets against Burnley, Palace and Rennes respectively. However, even a top half finish and a place in the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League may not stop Youri Tielemans from leaving Leicester City this summer.
Signed from Belgian side Monaco in 2019 for £32m, Tielemans has certainly provided Leicester fans with some fond memories. The most notable being his screamer in the 2021 FA Cup final against Chelsea which lead the Foxes to their first ever FA Cup. Nevertheless, his versatile skill set has meant that the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid would love to make him an addition this summer.
Having notched over 30 goal contributions in two and a half seasons, the Belgian international will certainly be a big miss next season if the Foxes were to sell him come June. According to Foot Mercato, vis TEAMtalk, Pep Guardiola is a keen admirer of the 24-year-old. However, Real Madrid would be ‘starman’s’ dream option due to his desire to play in La Liga. Furthermore, the report states that Leicester have dropped their asking price to £33.5million. Whilst this would lead to a slight profit, it would certainly be a bargain for any team looking to buy Leicester’s midfield talisman.
