Tielemans had made his intentions known that Champions League football is a priority of his, with him making his UCL debut as a 16-year-old. However, with Leicester failing to qualify for the Champions League the previous two seasons, it is becoming increasingly likely that Tielemans will not renew his contract and leave for one of Europe’s elite.

The Belgium international would be a fine addition to los Blancos as they are likely to reinvest into their midfield, with the likes of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos entering the latter stages of their careers. A move to la Casa Blanca would be ideal for LCFC fans as they wouldn’t have to watch a club icon wear the shirt of a rival team in the Premier League.

It is also no surprise that Guardiola would like to sign the Fox this summer given his interest in bringing players that are good in possession. As Foxes fans already know, the Belgian’s defence splitting passes is what makes him stand out as a player, and The Citizens would definitely like to add more depth to bolster their incredible midfield. Whilst it may be sad to see, a new challenge may be needed for the 24-year-old.
