Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has started fifteen matches for Leicester City in his debut season and has one goal and two assists. So what is next for the rising Foxes star?

Leicester are having a mixed term this time around; during the winter months there was a general feeling that this season would be a disaster. But, as players emerged from their injuries, the team has looked a lot better. Results have massively improved and the Foxes are doing a decent job both domestically and in Europe.

Brendan Rodgers’ side actually created history yesterday when they came from behind to beat PSV Eindhoven in a close 2-1 win which ensured their place in the Europa Conference League semifinals. This is the first semi of any European competition in club history.

The 2015/16 Premier League Champions had a busy summer transfer window before the beginning of 2021/22. Notable talents like Patson Daka and Boubakary Soumare made fans excited for the upcoming campaign. Little did anybody know that this year was all about Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The central midfielder, who happens to come from the LCFC youth setup, is one of the reasons for the latest surge in good form.

The 23-year-old has registered one goal in his nine appearances in Europe this season. It is not only just about the goals and assists he provides, his work rate on the pitch is astounding. ‘KDH’ continuously wins and intercepts the ball in crucial areas which lead to the building of dangerous attacks.

Understandably, the young Englishman has been getting a lot of media attention lately. In the pre-match conference for the second leg of the quarterfinal, Kasper Schmeichel was questioned regarding the former Luton Town loanee. To which the East Midland outfit’s captain replied:

"”Kiernan’s done incredible well this season, and it’s important he’s given time and the space to improve and mature. We’ve got a player on our hands – if he’s able to be kept out of the press limelight.”Reported BBC Sport Leicester."

The Danish goalkeeper is surely concerned that unfair press intrusion could affect the midfielder’s progress. We have seen big names in past in football who were affected by media attention, Eric Cantona to name one. However, KDH is a strong-minded young man who is grounded with a good family. He loves the club and has already been spoken of as a future skipper the King Power team’s manager.
