Wesley Fofana: 6/10 – Made a few runs forward and showed some nice pieces of skill especially when he turned Watkins leaving him for dead, but didn’t do anything particularly special. Not quite as imposing as usual.

Caglar Soyuncu: 5/10 – Another athlete having an off game, as were a lot of his passes. Which includes one that allowed Villa to break.

Timothy Castagne: 6/10 – Got a lot of the ball down the wing and made a lot of good runs down the line, creating a few chances.

Midfielders

Nampalys Mendy: 6/10 – Had a mixed game, made a bad pass giving the ball away; one of them near Villa’s box allowed them to break. He received a yellow card for persistent fouling. On the positive side, made a brilliant tackle in the 55th minute to stop the Villans from coming through into the box. Won the ball in the middle of the park to put Leicester through on goal.

Youri Tielemans: 5/10 – He also made successful challenges in the centre a few times but gave the ball away too often. He didn’t really stand out and actually seemed to disappear into the game, again.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall: 7/10 – Lacked creativity going forward but was good all over the pitch making tackles and showing fight. He made a brilliant run in the first half managing to get past three players. Constantly presses opponents; received a yellow card for a tackle on referee’s favourite John McGinn.
