Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy is back!

Jamie Vardy didn’t look as sharp as usual; arguably Ademola Lookman did a better job than him. However, it is to be expected when he’s still coming back from an injury. The former England man won’t revert back to prime play almost immediately, as well as needing to build game time back up.

Vardy is also 35 years old, at the end of the day, and unfortunately, as much as we all don’t want to see it happen, he is going to slow down as he starts to age further. The day that Jamie Vardy retires is the day that I, along with other City fans, shall go into mourning over. I mean what a player he has been, for saying we only bought him for £1 million, I mean he’s a legend, right?!

I know a few people have been disappointed with Patson Daka this season, but surely we just have to give him time – just look at his predecessor! Vardy took a few seasons to really get going, in his first Premier League season he only scored five goals in 34 appearances. Daka is currently on four goals from 20 appearances in the Premier League so maybe we are yet to see the Zambian really shine.
