Lookman price revealed as Rodgers confirms transfer talks
The price tag of loaned Leicester City winger Ademola Lookman has been revealed, as manager Brendan Rodgers confirms upcoming Foxes transfer talks for the RB Leipzig man.
Foxes of Leicester writers as a whole seem to be pro-Lookman staying on Filbert Way. I am personally a fan and agree with Rodgers in his latest assessment that the Nigeria international gave a very good account of himself whilst temporarily with the King Power outfit this season.
Additionally, the Northern Irishman is also correct, in my view, that there is room for improvement with regards to performance and output of the player. But more importantly, Lookman is an athlete who has the capacity to be superior due to mental strength and a wide skill set.
If you want a uniquely keen and interesting insight into the personality and character of the South London-born wingman, watch BT Sport’s South of the River. In said documentary, other stars featured are: Joe Gomez, Jaden Sancho, Rio Ferdinand, Tammy Abraham, Declan Rice, Ryan Sessegnon, Michail Antonio, Eberechi Eze and Aaron Wan Bissaka.
Lookman’s impact from the substitute’s bench in recent times was generally timely and successful for the East Midlands side on occasion. Eight goals in all competitions isn’t mind-blowing, yet there would be more if he was constantly involved.
Harvey Barnes will have to watch his own inconsistent form on the left-side in 2022/23 because Rodgers clarified he believes that the former Everton attacker performs better in that spot. That sentiment is testament to the latter’s efforts on his weaker flank this campaign.
Will Leicester City sign Ademola Lookman?
That outcome feels possible, and is definitely feasible. Not to mention, significantly, the Foxes gaffer would like to complete a deal for the 24-year-old. Acquiring Lookman permanently is something the club are looking into, and certainly have FoL’s blessing.
"“We will discuss that [a transfer; with a reported £14million price tag] over the coming weeks and if it’s possible I’d love to be able to do something because I think there is still growth in him.“We just have to wait and see from a financial perspective if that’s something we can do.”Brendan Rodgers, Daily Mail"
