Leicester City take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the penultimate game of the season for the two clubs. The Foxes enter the game full of confidence after a resounding 5-1 victory over Watford at Vicarage Road. The last time these two sides met in the league, LCFC suffered an embarrassing 3-0 defeat at the hands of Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Expected Leicester City XI

It seems unlikely that Brendan Rodgers will make too many changes to the side that defeated Watford as the Foxes look to end their season on a high. Kasper Schmeichel will return in the net after Danny Ward was given his first Premier League start for LCFC against the Hornets last time out.

Timothy Castagne and James Justin will likely yet again start in the fullback positions, while Wesley Fofana and Jonny Evans shall be the two centre-backs for the King Power side. Youri Tielemans is unlikely to start due to a knee issue, so Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Papy Mendy and James Maddison will be the three midfielders starting. With the Foxes taking on one of the strongest sides in the league, it is unlikely that Rodgers will rest any key players.

As a result, Harvey Barnes will start as the left-winger off the back of his strong performance against Watford, while Ademola Lookman will start on the opposite flank. Jamie Vardy will start against the Londoners after scoring four goals in his last two games.

Vardy also celebrated 10 years at the club earlier this week, after he joined Leicester City from Fleetwood Town in 2012. The 35-year-old has scored 163 goals for the club, with 132 of those in the Premier League.

The only change that could be made to this predicted line-up, would be to start Marc Albrighton over Lookman. However, with the East Midlands side facing the difficult task of travelling to Stamford Bridge for their final away game of the season, Lookman would be the better option to start at right wing.
