Wesley Fofana – The Frenchman must be one of the candidates for Man of the Match. He was electric in his pace, not to mention some immaculate decision-making. In fact, he is also nicely developing as a ball carrier in situations where there is no side pass available. 9/10

Jonny Evans – The Northern Ireland player was also decent in his defending. His continuous cross-filed passes dissecting the pitch always searched for a forward. 7/10

Daniel Amartey- The Ghanian grew into the match as the clash went on. Earlier in the contest he made some poor passes which troubled the team but with time he settled and found his feet. 6/10

Timothy Castagne- A decent defensive and attacking performance from the Belgian fullback. It was his pass that eventually landed in James Maddison’s feet before the wonder-strike. 7/10

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall- The midfielder has had a great season and picked up the Young Player of the Season award recently. Although, it was an average performance from him versus the Blues. 5/10

Nampalys Mendy- Decent in his interception and ball winning tackles but the attribute which holds Mendy back the most is his ability to play the ball forward. We have often seen him struggle to complete progressive advances when there is a press around him – yesterday was no exception. 6/10
