Anyone who wishes to sully the name of Maguire, remember that in ‘slab head’s’ first season with the club (17/18), the English CB played every league match. On top of that, he scored two goals and got three assists. The former Hull City man was critical to our form.

The season after he scored thrice, and then got a big money move to Manchester United for the following season after. His transfer for £80m got the Foxes most of their Seagrave training ground.

The Northern Irish and French defenders are undoubtedly in the top five of our best centre backs. Both are currently at the club. Both offer completely different styles of play. Both are sensations. ‘Little Wes’ is the perfect heir to the throne left by ‘Big Wes’.

Evans is an experienced, composed, defender reminiscent of ‘Huthy’. He is our stalwart defender and will hopefully be here for a few more years. Fofana however is something completely new to us. The Frenchman is fast, aggressive, progressive, dominating, and a true wonderkid.

So, my final list of five are fairly recent, and newer signings could change this list. Robert Huth, Wes Morgan, Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans, and Wesley Fofana. An honourable mention from without the stated time limit (PL football) will be Sol Bamba, who was gifted when we had him, though he did not stay long enough to make an impact.
