According to reports, a pair of Leicester City players are being uncharacteristically left hanging by the King Power club with their futures uncertain.

Some players are inevitably about to be signed by the Foxes over the next two months. In addition, I won’t need to inform you that a few of the squad members shall also depart Filbert Way.

Included with this outgoing contingent will likely be a star – probably midfielder Youri Tielemans – along with some surplus or periphery personnel. Then there are the loanees, at the start of a career or in their prime, such as Callum Wright and Dennis Praet.

Next. Tielemans may join EPL club for ridiculously low fee. dark

Praet spent the season with Italian outfit Torino. Meanwhile Wright was temporarily with English League One side Cheltenham Town. The former featured in over 20 Serie A matches in 2021/22. Whilst the 22-year-old impressively netted 13 times and assisted on nine occasions for Cheltenham.

The Belgium international is admired by Leicester fans; at least he was when he was at King Power Stadium with a chance. Though exiting for game time is absolutely understandable. Brendan Rodgers’ constant mentioning of a lack of options in the centre of the pitch would have been resolved or eased had he recalled the athlete. Or the Northern Irishman could have simply overruled the move to begin with!

From my fairly extensive experience covering and supporting the East Midlands team, I would definitely attest that the club are known for caring about contemporary assets. That sentiment applies if they are to be sold or otherwise. Whereas some organisations appear more aloof, seeming to psychologically compartmentalise the disregarding of their own. However, there are suggestions that Leicester haven’t handled either of these cases well.

With regard to Praet, his agent Martin Riha believes it vital that the Belgian knows where he’ll actually begin pre-season training. Apparently the 28-year-old wants to remain in Italy; yet the representative added:

"“We don’t know what the English club wants to do and we would like to know what to expect for the new season.”"

Over in the Wright camp, it has been alleged by the player himself that he doesn’t know whether he is even wanted at LCFC or not. Now, this is surely a very difficult situation for a young professional. Furthermore, the scenario is not what the Blue Army would expect of their wonderful club, if claims are true.
