It’s now time for part two of the mini-series, after suggesting Leicester City should acquire youngster, Levi Colwill, from Chelsea—to gradually replace Jonny Evans in the LCB position in my first part of this series.

I’m now going to address the most difficult question for Brendan Rodgers and his recruitment staff this window. What player can fill the RCM (which will also be referred to as an No.8 from here onwards) void if Youri Tielemans is to depart?

The answer isn’t very simple. Cast your mind back over just this season’s performances and a lot of the Foxes fans might suggest he’s underwhelmed, but that’s when comparing with his entire tenure—where the Belgian has been phenomenal in the East Midlands. Finding an individual player that can replicate every element that Tielemans adds to the current Leicester City side is an almost impossible task.

However, with the emergence of multi-faceted Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall on the left side of the three-man midfield, we can instead outline the roles/responsibilities needed to feature as the RCM/No.8 in Rodgers’ setup and perhaps find a few players across Europe to minimise the gaps in the aforementioned void.
