Leicester City will need to act fast to secure its latest transfer target, with the Foxes set to enter a transfer battle with Liverpool and Arsenal for Porto’s Fabio Vieira.

According to Leicester Mercury, the Foxes have shown an interest in the young Portuguese winger. It is reported that Leicester have kept a close eye on Vieira, but have not started negotiations yet.

The 22-year-old has also attracted the interest of Premier League clubs after an impressive season for the Portuguese giants. Vieira scored seven goals and provided 16 assists in 39 games across all competitions this season.

Vieira is currently on international duty for the Portugal in the Under-21 European Championship qualifiers. He has scored 11 goals in 19 appearances for the Portugal Under-21s to date.

The Portuguese youth international has proven himself as a versatile player that can play in the midfield as well as on either wing. However, he is at his best as either a central attacking midfielder, or a right winger.

In the left-footed wideman’s short career, he has shown plenty of promising signs and has the potential to develop into a world-class winger. Vieira is valued at €25m and is a player the Foxes will not want to lose to another Premier League side.

Leicester City’s search for a right-winger to replace Riyad Mahrez will continue this transfer window, as the King Power side has shown interest in Charles De Ketelaere, Noni Madueke and Vieira. Each of these players can play on the right wing and cut inside onto their left.

The Blue Army can expect a new-look Leicester to take to the field at the beginning of next season, with Brendan Rodgers expected to make a summer overhaul of players to freshen up the side. Along with a new right winger, LCFC is expected to bring in a new centre back and potentially make the signing of Ademola Lookman a permanent deal.
