Leicester City are one of the many clubs linked with a move to Bristol City starlet Reuben McAllister. Here is what you need to know.

The life of an English-Scottish starlet is one cloaked in incessant rumours and stories linking oneself towards higher and greater heights in football. From U21 England stars to lesser-known players just graduating from academies.

Leicester City’s youth development

The King Power club love acquiring talent from within other club’s academies and youth setups to bolster their own. One such attempt is the hunt for McAllister – a technically gifted attacking-midfielder – of Bristol City.

light. Trending. We asked Fabrizio Romano about Tielemans – here’s what he said

The Robins’ midfielder made his debut in the U23 side at only 15, and has been performing for them as a regular, now 16. There is increasing focus on the player from across the topflight of both England and Scotland.

According to FootballInsider, City and Brighton & Hove Albion recently entered the race to tie the talent to a professional contract. Of course, Bristol are desparate to retain the playmaker. Both Premier League clubs should be attractive options.

However, there is staunch competition. Saudi-funded Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Celtic, and Rangers are equally interested in the player. Luckily for the Foxes, we already have a strong youth setup and one with an attractive approach towards senior football, plus we have a busy preseason and hopefully transfer window coming up.

McAllister would stand alongside the growing pool of midfield talents in the development side: Will Alves, Sammy Braybrooke, Wanya Marcal-Madivadua, etc. And therefore could be expected to make a move to a PL side soon.

dark. Next. When LCFC’s new 2022/23 kit should be released

Should this be Leicester, Brendan Rodgers would be happy to have the future midfield almost sorted. Built around Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, many of those youth players have the opportunity to be senior team players. I expect the Robin to be no different.
