On Monday some of the Leicester City squad began training for the 2022/23 campaign already. Foxes of Leicester lists the stars who have returned to Seagrave.

This news makes us feel a little bit better. That’s because, to be honest, FoL is missing LCFC. There are still certain things for us to discuss and speculate on, but the Blue Army are collectively pining for Leicester action.

So, which of the roster have rejoined teammates at the Seagrave facility? At practice, Brendan Rodgers was reunited with Jamie Vardy, Hamza Choudhury, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes, Marc Albrighton, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Ricardo Pereira, Ayoze Perez and Boubakary Soumare.

Transfer rumours. Interest confirmed in rated defender who wants new challenge. light

Also in attendance were prospects George Hirst, Daniel Iversen, Josh Eppiah, Khanya Leshabela, Callum Wright, Jakub Stolarczyk, Shane Flynn, Joe Wormleighton, Tom Wilson-Brown, Brandon Cover, Thanawat Suengchitthawon, Tawanda Maswanhise and Wanya Marcal-Madivadua.

Maddison and Barnes are of course both hopeful that their brief but formerly burgeoning England careers will reignite. The pair have fallen behind in their respective categories since making debuts for their shared country.

Surely something about the No.10 is not appreciated by Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate. Foxes of Leicester is of the opinion that the latter does not like the former Norwich City midfielder’s personality or perceived attitude. Clearly Southgate wasn’t best pleased by some of the headlines attributed to the 25-year-old. With any luck, the England gaffer will notice the dedication of the duo to come back in June.

Meanwhile Barnes’ uneven form obviously contributed to his omission. Saying that, the numbers produced by the winger were still impressive for a mid-placed outfit. Especially one in a very competitive Premier League.

As time goes on, other members of the team will trickle back to Leicester. Mainly the absent athletes are those who have been sidelined recently or for the long-term, such as Wilfred Ndidi. In addition to those Foxes who were on duty with their national sides. The East Midlands club’s friendlies begin in just over a week.
