Get Carter’s Leicester player reviews 2021/22: Midfield maestros
By Damon Carter
For the rest of the season every Premier League game that he was available, he started and normally to great effect. What marks out Dewsbury-Hall from the rest of his teammates is the range of talent up his sleeve. If he was rated on Championship Manager his stats would all be in double figures as there isn’t much he cannot do. But most impressively his game intelligence is one of the best at the club with his timing and in-game decisions consistently where they need to be for every given moment.
Although his thunderous strike against Crystal Palace will get all the plaudits, one of my favourite moments of his season was a tackle at Old Trafford so well placed and executed it had Leicester fans in awe. It wasn’t so much that he made the tackle itself it was how quickly he rose to his feet and released James Maddison who then picked out Kelechi Iheanacho for the goal.
‘KDH’ is a revelation of a player and will be imperative to the team and the football club in the coming years. Having signed a new five-year contract to bring him in line with high earners at the club, his importance is assured. Now we need to provide him with the best platform to fulfil his potential which means surrounding him with players that can see the club thrive.
