Leicester City travel to East Riding of Yorkshire tomorrow evening to face Hull City in the third of six pre-season fixtures ahead of the 2022/23 campaign. The Foxes are winless thus far, having lost on their first outing against Notts County before a 3-3 draw with OH Leuven on Saturday.

It’s expected that Brendan Rodgers will call on his first-string players once more as he did in Belgium, after deploying a hybrid approach between the main team and development squad in the Notts County defeat. Six players have started on both outings: Daniel Iversen, Wesley Fofana, Boubakary Soumare, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Harvey Barnes and Patson Daka.

James Maddison will be hoping to get some more minutes in the legs, particularly after Brendan Rodgers went on the record after the Leuven friendly to sing the No. 10’s praises.

The Northern Irishman told LCFC TV:

"“In the three and a half years I’ve been in at Leicester, he now looks physically strong, technically confident, and tactically his view of the game is outstanding.”"

With temperatures sure to be hotter in Hull than in Evian, where the Foxes’ training base was last week, the gaffer will want to push his players to prove their fitness ahead of the fixture with Derby County on Saturday.
