Caglar Soyuncu – 6.5

A promising performance from Soyuncu. After an inconsistent two years, he looked decent both in defence and with the ball and often ran forward in possession to open up opportunities for teammates.

The Turkish defender was by no means at his best and there was the odd sign of preseason rustiness, with a couple of unnecessary fouls and the odd turnover of the ball, but overall it was a confidence-building display.

Timothy Castagne – 7.5

It was another performance from the Belgian defender that LCFC fans have become accustomed to over the last two years. Castagne made some neat passes with midfielders and as always, looked dangerous when he was going forward. He also made a couple of important tackles and interceptions in a solid all-round performance.

Luke Thomas – 7

A quiet game from the Leicester City academy graduate. He made a couple of promising runs down the left but lacked the conviction to properly threaten the Tigers’ defence.

Papy Mendy – 6

Mendy’s small stature was exploited by the opposition throughout the game as he was often dispossessed due to stronger opponents. When on the ball, Mendy’s main role was to distribute to Dennis Praet and Youri Tielemans, who were more effective with the ball at their feet.
